SWS Art Students Create Audio Books using iPads

Victor Castaneda creates his story with a new iPad.

With a grant from Century Link the Seattle World School purchased a class set of iPads. Using Book Creator, art students illustrated and wrote the story of where they come from in English and their first language. The artists and writers then published their books as movies. Mac users can also view the books in iBooks. Being bilingual makes us smarter and more flexible in our thinking. Parents can support students by encouraging reading in heritage and emerging languages. Download these samples of some of the student audio books:
