    What’s New at Seattle World School

    VACCINE OPPORTUNITY AT SCHOOL

    Wednesday April 28th our ICHS clinic will offer a Covid vaccine opportunity at World School, 100 1st doses- for 18 years old and over.

    For students, and anyone you live with or work with or are friends with. Text the clinic cell number 206-588-9570 to sign up. Appointments only: 9:30-11:00 and 1:00 - 5:00

    • On Tuesday and Friday afternoons during the lunch and cohort check-in time, students at school can browse books outside in the courtyard.

    • The library room will be open to classes only, with your teacher.  Your teacher will sign-up your class in advance for a visit.  Here is what that looks like.
    • All students can always request books from me by asking me on email, Teams, Schoology or by using the catalog to see what we have.  Here’s how: https://youtu.be/jIU-H2WEvqk
    • 100% remote students can also get books and technology help on Wednesdays by appointment, between 12:00 and 15:00.  Email me or message me from Schoology or Teams to set up a time.

    • Rocio Luquero can assist family/students to fill the application for the Covid Relief Fund from the State of Washington. This help is for people who are not able to get stimulus check nor unemployment benefits.

    • Starting Wednesday, April 21, applications opened for additional rounds of the Washington COVID-19 Immigrant Relief Fund. Applications will be opened until May 21, 2021, and funds will be distributed to approved applicants between June 1 and June 15, 2021.

    King County Household Assistance Program

    • Do you and your family need financial support to successfully isolate or quarantine? Anyone living in King County who tests positive or is exposed to COVID-19 may be eligible to receive a one-time household bill payment of up to $1500 to help pay their current rent, mortgage, utility, water, phone and internet bills.

    How do I qualify or enroll?

    • No application is necessary. Those with a recent positive COVID-19 test or who are identified as a close contact of a positive case will receive a call or text from a King County contact tracer within five days. This will start the enrollment process to determine eligibility. Language assistance will be available.
    • There is no income or citizenship requirement.
