    Internship and Summer Opportunities

    1. SPS summer 2021 Skills Center: Learn about different careers and earn a .5 credit by participating in a summer skills center class from July 6 to July 30. Summer classes are open to incoming 9th graders to 12th graders. Learn more here.

    2.  Seattle Youth Employment Program (SYEP) paid summer internships: Earn $16.69 per hour and gain valuable work experience by signing up for SYEP summer program. Click here for more information, or call (206) 386-1375. Students must be at least 16 years old. Application deadline is April 2.

    3.  ArtCorps Learning Immersive Technology Paid Internship during Spring Break: The LIT curriculum offers arts, tech, and computational learning through teaching artist-led workshops in game design and digital storytelling, as well as professional experiences and opportunities to support students career exploration in creative and technology spaces.     4.  5th Avenue Theater Rising Stars Program: Do you love theater? Are you considering theater as a career? The Rising Star Project at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle is a FREE program that provides students with theatre mentorships with theatre professionals while working on a production.
    • This focus of this year is developing 10-minute original musicals- written, directed, and performed by teens. There is still a need for two playwrights and a director.
    • One of the stories they are hoping to work on developing into a musical with youth is based on the story "Gracias Por Todo"
    • Students who are interested but need ELL support will have language support arranged
