    ART & MUSIC

    Guitar Class

    Learn to play guitar, create songs, and record your own music! If you have never played guitar before, it’s okay – beginners are welcome! This class is in the music room (Rm  after school on Mondays and Wednesdays.

    Intermediate Guitar/Band

    If you have experience with guitar or if you want to learn to play an instrument like bass, keyboard, drums, or learn to sing and be a part of a band, come to the music room after school on Wednesdays!

    Arts & Crafts Club

    Relax, spend time with your friends, and work on arts & crafts projects with Ms. Mindi from the teen health clinic. We meet on Mondays after school in the art room (Rm 507). 

    Film Making

    Walk down the hill to Coyote Central! Use a real camera to make movies like a movie director or videos like a YouTuber! With good attendance, you can earn a $100 stipend at the end! The group meets on Wednesdays after school.

    Cooking

    Walk down the hill to Coyote Central! Work with chefs to learn and practice your cooking skills. With good attendance, you can earn a $100 stipend at the end! The group meets on Wednesdays after school.

     

    Woodshop

    Walk down the hill to Coyote Central! Learn woodshop and carpentry skills. Build whatever you want out of wood and take it home at the end of the class. With good attendance, you can earn a $100 stipend at the end! The group meets on Wednesdays after school.

     

    ACADEMIC & CAREER

     

    Job Readiness Training

    This is a year-long class taught in your native language – Chinese, Tagalog, Spanish, or Vietnamese. You will learn how to apply to jobs, practice job interviews, prepare for college, and go on fun field trips! You will also receive a stipend ($$$) for this class! There are two different classes:

    • Chinese & Tagalog: taught by Asian Counseling & Referral Services Wednesdays in Rm 511

    • Vietnamese: taught by the Vietnamese Friendship Association Wednesdays in Rm 515


    Homework Help

    Work one-on-one with a tutor.  You will practice English, learn organization/study skills, get help with homework, and improve your grades. Go to the library on Tuesdays and Thursdays! There is Spanish and Vietnamese language support at Homework Help!



    Saturday School Support

    Come on Saturday morning at 9 am and bring your homework! Work one-on-one with an adult tutor to finish your homework and practice English and math. Play fun games and make new friends! Free lunch is provided. If you need a bus ticket to come to school on Saturday, ask Ms. Ali for a bus ticket on the Friday before.

    ATHLETICS

     

    Soccer

    There are 3 Soccer teams at Seattle World School:

    High School Boys: Tuesdays and Fridays 4pm – 6pm

    High School Girls: Thursdays 4pm – 5:30pm, and Saturdays 10am – 11:30am

    Middle School Boys and Girls: Wednesdays 2:45pm – 5:30pm and Thursdays 4pm – 5:30pm

    Practice soccer skills, practice English, become a leader, and play soccer games against other students! Ask Coach Stephanie for more information.

    Dance Team

    Learn fun dances and perform in front of the school! Help create pride and excitement around Seattle World School and make school more fun for everyone! All genders are welcome! Meets on Fridays after school in the multipurpose room.

    K-Pop Dance Club

    Learn K-pop dances while practicing English and making new friends with Garfield High School students! Meets Mondays and Wednesdays after school in the multipurpose room.
