School Day Tutoring:  This program serves students in the classroom during the school day. These students have been in the United States for less than a year and are adapting to a new culture, community, and education system. Tutors work one-on-one with students in specific classes (English, math, science, etc.) based on schedule and interests. As a tutor, you will:

·       Encourage students’ academic enrichment by providing quality tutoring.

·       Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

·       Assist in engaging students to learn through organized one-on-one or small group activities.

·       Assist teachers with various tasks and classroom management.

After School Tutoring:  This program serves about 30-50 immigrant and refugee students every day. Students bring assignments from all their classes and at a variety of levels (from kindergarten to high school). As a tutor, you will:

·       Encourage students’ academic enrichment by providing quality tutoring and assistance with homework.

·       Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

·       Assist in engaging students to learn through organized one-on-one or small group activities.

·       Offer support in classroom management.

·       Assist in collaborating with program staff to improve program activities.
